Trouble with the bank

We were suppose to get the keys to our new apartment and pay the rest of the money for it today. But that didn’t quite turn out the way it was suppose to and this time we can’t blame it on the Italians…

The morning started with Micki forgetting her PIN to her cell phone which ended up with her SIM-card getting blocked for usage. And this day just turned out to be a very bad day for the phone dysfunction.

We got to the meeting with our landlady and our broker (who actually looks a lot like Marcello in (Under the Tuscan Sun) and we just popped in to the bank next to the agency to withdraw the money. It all worked smoothly for me but the transaction was denied for Micki’s card. Then she remembered that she probably didn’t have enough money on that account. Great! So she had to call the bank in Sweden and transfer the money from one account to another. But hey, remember, her phone was blocked. Calling from my phone was totally out of the question since it’s so god damn expensive, so we had to use a payphone. First we had loads of problems just finding out how the stupid payphone works and when we finally did Micki dialled something wrong so she had to do it again. Finally she got it right and had to wait as call number 114 in line (which actually isn’t as bad as it sounds like) so I went back to the broker and the landlady and felt extremely embarrassed by the whole situation. Well anyway, Micki got the money transferred and went to the bank to withdraw the money, but by then the bank had closed. It closes at 16.05 and when Micki got there it was 16.10.
